The Holy Days of Obligation in Scotland are as follows:
SUNDAYS THE NATIVITY OF THE LORD (25th December) THE ASCENSION OF THE LORD (Thursday of Week 6 of Easter) SAINT PETER & SAINT PAUL, APOSTLES (29 June) THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY (15th August) ALL SAINTS (1st November)
The Ascension of the Lord remains on the Thursday of Week 6 of Easter. Ss Peter & Paul and the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be moved to Sunday when falling on a Saturday or Monday. All Saints will be moved to the Sunday when falling on a Saturday. When it falls on a Monday, however, it will remain on that day and be a Holy Day of Obligation. The reason for this is the desirability of keeping All Saints and All Souls on consecutive days.
Please pray for our Seminarians: Christopher Doig, Malachy Eze and Aiden Matheson. Please pray too for Deacon Dominic Nwaigwe.
We now have 70 nembers in our 100 Club. The 100 club winner for September- Mary Bromage, Embo.

There is a Christian Group meeting every Monday at 1030 till noon in Golspie. The venue changes so please check for information at the back of the church.
