Sick Communions The normal time for these in Brora is now after Mass on Fridays. We had to change some months ago.
There are a small number of printed Bulletins at the back of the church in Brora with the reading on the reverse. If you use one please take it away with you.
Repairs to the hall and church There is currently an Appeal for funding to cover the cost of repairs. If you think you could help with the funding please contact the parish. We have applied for permission from the Diocese to proceed and also for a grant.
Face masks are required at all times.
Reservations are no longer required. Remember to wear a facemask .
The current cap on attendance for our church is 30. It includes everyone over 5 years old. It excludes the presiding priest.
At the time of Communion, please allow those on the window end of the pews to come up first and always allow a 1 metre distance from those who did not come to Mass with you.
CORONAVIRUS
WE TAKE GREAT CARE OVER YOUR SAFETY AND WE HAVE ENDEAVOURED TO MAKE AVAILABLE SEATING FOR ALL OUR REGULAR PARISHIONERS.. IT IS SAFE AS ANYWHERE THESE DAYS.
THERE IS HOWEVER ONE AREA THAT IS OF CONCERN - THAT OF FINANCE. IF YOU ONLY CONTRIBUTE TO OUR PARISH WHEN YOU COME AND BY CASH DONATION: IT BECOMES INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT TO MAINTAIN THE CHURCH. INSURANCE, FOOD BILLS, MONTHLY COUNCIL TAX ALONE IS MORE THAT A WHOLE SUNDAY'S COLLECTION.
PLEASE CONSIDER GIVING TO THE PARISH BY STANDING ORDER. WE WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH THE BANK DETAILS. MANY THANKS TO THOSE WHO ALREADY DO SO. IF YOU ARE A TAX PAYER YOU CAN GIFT AID TO THE PARISH AT NO COST TO YOURSELF.
You will have to wait outside untill shown to a seat. Numbers are restricted so come early.
You must observe the current social distancing of 1 metre and come to communion one by one.
The toilets should only be used in an emergency..
Fr Derick
PLEASE REMEMBER THE SICK IN YOUR PRAYERS
Jacqui Aris-Finch, Louise Port, Calum O’Boyle, Sylvia Marlow, Robert Prendergast, Terry Giulian, Bernadette Christian, Anthony Seed, Fiona Lamond, Rhona Sutherland, Emelia McKeever, Norma Lothian, Hugh McBride, Madame Farasyn.
The monthly Gift Aid amount paid directly to the parish account is £350. At the moment because the church is closed this is our only Offertory Income. I was asked to prepare an interim budget for this present lock-down crisis. The shortfall between now and June is of the order of several thousand pounds. If you are a taxpayer please consider giving your Mass Offering by Gift Aid and if possible by direct payment into the Parish account (most people do this monthly), as the parish greatly benefits from the tax repaid. Thank you to those who Gift Aid. Forms are available from Christine Port who is the Gift Aid coordinator.
